Basic Cycling Hip Strength Exercise

 https://youtu.be/d6EgFkSqXuUBasic cycling hip strength is important for normal lower extremity mechanics.  Poor hip stability can create discomfort and inefficiency anywhere along the kinematic chain, but some of the more common problems are knee pain, foot numbness and tingling, as well as an uncomfortable saddle.This first exercise is just about getting  the muscle engaged since it can shut down or be inhibited with prolonged sitting, as many of us do at work.  In this video I show you how to locate the muscle on the back of your hip in order to provide some rudimentary biofeedback to enhance the muscle contraction.Step it up a notch with the intermediate exercise in this series -- resisted crab walking.  It'll be coming in the next few days....
