I've had requests to go through a real bike fit from beginning to end and explain some of the decision-making as well as the step by step changes made and how they went together to complete the bike fit picture.   So here it is, a relatively brief video that lays out the calculus I ave to go through to get a client moving better on their bike.https://youtu.be/cG8k6UEc-NEThe focus has to be ultimately on moving better on the bike after all.  We can put someone into a posture that "looks good" in the traditional sense but if it doesn't work with their mechanics, then it's doomed in the long run. There are elements of previous articles and videos on display in this session, like how to manage knee discomfort and what possible remedies we have to deal with hand issues on the bike, but just like each bike fit I do there is an individuality to each.  The degree of the changes and the amount of response from the rider is different each time, and therefore a custom solution is required on every occasion. This particular bike fit is a great example of why having an extremely accurate way to measure the rider in all three planes is a requirement to doing a truly custom and elite-level bike fit.  We needed to vet changes in saddle height by a degree or two of knee extension, saddle fore/aft by less than 6 mm pelvic movement, and proper loading of the saddle by a few millimeters of aft movement and a few millibar of pressure.  Each decision was done step-wise and depended on the previous before we could move on to the next safely.Have a look at the video and feel free to question or comment here or on the YouTube comments below the video.  Thanks....
